Standing Behind Our Cattle

About Our Purebred Female Program

All our females are grown on free choice hay and a grain ration. They are vaccinated yearly on a program designed by our veterinarian Dr. Collin Lawrence of the Westlock Veterinary Center. We use Bovi-Shield products and Vision 8 way / Covexin. We have a scour vaccine protocol for all bred females on farm and all bred heifers receive an initial dose as well as a booster. Ivomec pour on is used in the fall and oral Safeguard in the spring.

Our females have genomic enhanced EPDs which gives our buyers a clear picture of the genetic potential of the heifers. All replacement heifers have been tested for TH (Tibial Hemimelia), PHA (Pulmonary Hypoplasia with Anasarca), DS (Digital Subluxation), and Myostatin. Our heifers are palpated prior to breeding, we find this is an invaluable tool when selecting replacement heifers.

Our 2025 Offering

SHAROM MOLLY LOMOND 9M

A valentine sweetheart! Probably the thickest heifer in this year’s offering. She is one of two heifers in this sale sired by ST King 5K, our calving ease heifer bull that was used for 2 seasons. The Lomond cow family has been making a name here at Sharom. Like all Lomond cows, this heifer has the potential to turn into a profitable brood cow. Molly Lomond ranks in the top 3% for calving ease and has an impressive stayabilitly index. She deserves a serious look on sale day.

Pasture exposed to Arbutus Elkhorn 23L from April 10 – July 10, 2025. Preg checked September 9, 2025 safe in calf for a mid to late January calving.

SHAROM MISS TRIXIE 19M

Easy on the eyes! This soft roan heifer is more than just looks. Her sire, Glenford Mr. Crimson 51H, left an impressive set of well uddered, moderate framed thick females here. When we were choosing heifers for this sale, we decided to part with a couple of Crimson daughters, but not easily. Miss Trixie has a strong hip and thick barrel. She has the background to become a herd matron that will add to any herd.

SHAROM MELO-DEE 28M

Just how we like them, red and full of performance! An added bonus is that her dam, Paintearth Dee 47D, was with us for 9 years and always produced a bull for the pen or a keeper in the replacement heifer pen. This will be the first and only Dee daughter to be offered at the 4’s Company Sale. Her sire, Star P Jerry 39J, has produced well for us by siring long, growthy calves that have done well in the herd and at the auction.

Pasture exposed to Sharom Macgyver 34M from April 10 – May 23, 2025 and Arbutus Elkhorn 23L from May 24 – July 10, 2025. Preg checked September 9, 2025 safe in calf for a February calving.

SHAROM MONA 29M

This heifer is off of a tried and true cow at Sharom. Her great granddam was purchased from Six S Farms at this very sale. A solid made female with a solid set of EPD’s. She will be an asset to any operation. Like all Crimson daughters she is thick and well put together.

Pasture exposed to Sharom Macgyver 34M from April 10 – May 23, 2025 and Arbutus Elkhorn 23L from May 24 – July 10, 2025. Preg checked September 9, 2025 safe in calf for an early March calving.

SHAROM MARMALADE 35M

This is a heifer out of the heart of our replacement pen. It was a hard decision to put Marmalade in the sale this year. Sharom Highjacker 27H daughters are hard to part with as the performance they bring to the table is undeniable. Her EPD’s indicate growth and performance which means dollars in your pocket. Make sure to give her a long hard look on sale day.

SHAROM MAGGIE 36M

It has been many years since we have offered a white female at the sale. There are many boxes to check to get this far as a white female in our herd and she checks them all. Feminine yet stout, this heifer has it all. Her granddam has been roaming the pastures at Sharom for 12 years and produces every time. We believe this heifer will continue with this tradition.
