Shorthorn Cows - Alberta Canada

Influential Dams

At Sharom we strive to continually improve our genetics.  Bull power is critical but strong, dependable dams are the key.

Sharom Agnes 236A

Agnes has been going strong for over a decade.  She has consistently produced excellent calves that make it into either the bull pen or replacement heifer pen.  The bull calves have sold to commercial cattlemen and we have retained many of her daughters and finally let one walk through the ring at 4's Company.  Agnes is definitely Sharom Hall of Fame bound.

Sharom Fudge 44F.jpg

Sharom Fudge 44F

Fudge is a tank of a cow and the only daughter of Prospect Hill Xtreme Linda 14X.  Both of these cows are bull makers.  The sons of these two cows are always some of the biggest steers or bulls in the fall.  At Sharom, we believe in raising growthy steers as pounds equal money and this cow represents that quality.

Sharom Dana 72D

Dana is a big, broody cow with her roots coming from the renowned Eionmor herd of Ken and Robert Morison.  Her top quality bull calves have sold to purebred and commercial herds in Alberta. When Dana has a daughter, she stays at Sharom to continue her mother's legacy.  An up and coming herd sire we kept for our use, Sharom Lynx 130L, grandson of Dana, demonstrates our confidence in this cow line.

Cricket is another steadfast cow working in our herd.  Year after year she consistently produces top notch females for our replacement pen and those of other herds.  Her picture, shown here, is a testament of her ability to raise a smashing calf.  We look forward to generations of Cricket's offspring at Sharom.
